Limited edition Lagrein from Awatere Valley, Marlborough.

Lagrein is a cool climate, full bodied red grape originally from Italy that has found a new home on the stoney river terraces of the Awatere Valley. Stanley Estates have carefully managed a limited production of just 2236 vines and come up with an aromatic, deeply flavoured drop.

Look for flavours of black doris plum, ripe morello cherry and blackberries. Charmingly soft on the nose, with a lengthy palate and a lengthy yet delicate finish. Brilliant with steak & lamb dishes.
